Evil Bob!! I heart him!!!

Found this ad on the interwebs:

Evil Bob would love to find the perfect home as i have put up with him for nearly 10 years and cant take much more! He is probably the worst dog you will ever meet!
He started life as a failed mountain rescue dog, probably peed on the climber and stole their kendal mint cake!
He has caused nothing but trouble here as he doesn’t fit well with large group of dogs.He looks older than his years, has wonky teeth, bad breath and bad attitude. He would love one on one attention.
He is terrified of cats, snaps at horses heels and nips pigs.He should not be left unsupervised indoors as he steals food off the side, licks the cooker and pees at terrier height so as not to get the blame!
His few good qualities are that he travels quietly in the car, will lay under your desk at work all day, sits quite tidy.Is good with children (as long as he hasn't got his lipstick out)!
I am open to any suggestions! he would be perfect for a retired person to fuss all day.Even offers a walks appreciated!

This online ad from England has made its way around the blogs and news.

I like Evil Bob and think he should get his own reality show. He rocks. Ship him to the US, I want him.

Tony Awards

I am so glad Matt Stone and Trey Parker won 9 awards. I want to see The Book of Mormon so bad. I love the soundtrack so much. I also think it is funny that Trey thanked Joseph Smith when accepting one of the awards.

"You did it, Joseph! You got the Tony!" Trey Parker

Hat of the day!

Not the fondest of the picture but I love this headband/hat. I think if it covers a bulk of your head it is a hat.

Mad Hatter?

I recently learned where the phrase mad as a hatter came from. It seems back in the day hatters made hats from beavers and they used chemicals that made them light headed. Some of the chemicals had mercury in it and it made them do crazy.

Lately I have really been loving all the crazy hats on British royalty.

I want McDreamy holding a boombox outside my window.

Whatever happened to chivalry? Does it only exist in 80's movies? I want John Cusack holding a boombox outside my window. I wanna ride off on a lawnmower with Patrick Dempsey. I want Jake from Sixteen Candles waiting outside the church for me. I want Judd Nelson thrusting his fist into the air because he knows he got me. Just once I want my life to be like an 80's movie, preferably one with a really awesome musical number for no apparent reason. But no, no, John Hughes did not direct my life. -Oliver Penderghast from Easy A

I love this quote so much. This quote is the reason I am single. It is not because I am anti social or over weight. If I wanted I could get a date, I could date. It is too much effort and I only end up disappointed. I see so many people bored or bickering in their relationships and I don't want this.

I want to be amazed on a daily basis.
I want to be able to laugh as something you said even after being together for 10 hours straight.
I want butterflies in my stomach that never go away.
I want to smile when I think of you.
I want something to look forward to.

I want last summer back

Wait did I just say that? I shouldn't. I just want to feel something other than despair.

That is all for now. Oh and I am super happy it is finally summer.

Me me me

It is all about me. I mean this is what makes the world go round. Dale Carnagie said that the most important word to a person is their own name. This is true. I am totally guilty of being self centered, I was an only child after all. It. was. all about. ME. I feel that just focusing on yourself is not good. When I am sad or depressed I always feel better if I get out of the house and do something, even better if I help someone out.

I know someone whose recent reaction to a situation kinda made me laugh. Something bad happened to someone they care about and all they can say is how horrible it is for them. It did not even happen to them but they turn it around to be completely about them and their pain. They would be better of jumping into action and helping the person in peril than sitting around angry and sad.

I have read Byron Katie a bit and in one of her books she says it isn't helpful to FEEL someones pain. Like if someone is sick or going through a person problem it is of no use to actually feel super bad and be sad with them. You can help them more by doing for them. Bringing them food, cleaning their house, taking them out, or just holding their hand. You can't help anyone if you feel horrible. I believe this is true too much empathy is no good. Not that you shouldn't care and listen you just shouldn't feel horrible about it.

I have someone I spend some time with someone who just lost one of their best friends due to a car accident. It was sad and untimely. I try to help them by just being around, we don't necessarily talk about the pain but I am there to go to lunch or watch a movie. I try.

Personally I am trying to improve and think of others more and not always be stuck in the mire of my own problems.

Smile and pitch in where you can.

Dance it out!

On Grey's Anatomy when you have a bad day some of them dance it out. Oddly this works. It works out the bad feelings and cheers you up!

If I had a million dollars?

Every once in a while when I get bored or mad at my life I think about what I would do if I suddenly came into a million dollars or 100 million preferably.

I would buy a great house, new car, some pretty expensive handbags. I would round out my DVD, book, music collection with everything I have ever wanted. I would go back to school. I would travel.

When I pictured my day to day life that would be ideal if I had money I realized I could realize some it now even while broke.

So I won't have the house or the LV bag but I can fix up my lame apartment and I could work towards going to school. I can budget my money and travel. I can fix the things that are broken in my life. The things that are stalled. I don't need the lottery, a man, or to lose weight to do them.
