I can make it through this day. I can make it through this day.

Yes I have been guilty of it many times, I have opened my big yap and said things I shouldn't have. I came across this story in the movie "Doubt" and it got me thinking.
This story is from a sermon in the movie

A woman was gossiping with a friend
about a man she hardly knew-- I
know none of you have ever done

--that night she had a dream. A
great hand appeared over her and

she was immediately seized with an
overwhelming sense of guilt.
The next day she went to
She got the old parish priest,
Father O’Rourke, and she told him
the whole thing. “Is gossiping a
sin?” she asked the old man. “Was
that the hand of God Almighty
“Should I be asking your
absolution? Father, tell me, have
I done something wrong?”
“Yes!” Father O’Rourke answered

“Yes, you ignorant, badly brought up
female! You have borne false
witness against your neighbor, you
have played fast and loose with his
reputation, and you should be
heartily ashamed!”
So the woman said she was sorry and
asked for forgiveness. “Not so
fast!” says O’Rourke. “I want you
to go home, take a pillow up on
your roof, cut it open with a
knife, and return here to me!”
So the woman went home, took a
pillow off her bed, a knife from
the drawer, went up the fire escape
to the roof, and stabbed the
Then she went back to the old
parish priest as instructed.
“Did you gut the pillow with the
knife?” he says.”Yes, Father.” “And
what was the result?” “Feathers,”
she said.
A world of feathers.
Feathers?” he repeated. “Feathers
everywhere, Father!”

She’s watching the feathers flying away on the breeze
“Now I want you to go back and
gather up every last feather that
flew out on the wind!”

“Well,” she said, “it can’t be
done. I don’t know where they went.
The wind took them all over.”

”And that
is gossip!”

They just can't help it!

All these rich famous men are having affairs by the dozen. All these sk*nks they are having affairs with are demanding payment and looking for fame. It is ridiculous. We have countless politicians, Jesse James, Tiger Woods and now David Boreanaz. Sad sad.
Since we probably can't stop them from cheating they need to just smarten up. Stop hooking up with trampy sk*nks. They will only turn on you. Instead hook up with someone else who is famous, maybe a costar or something. Or better yet hook up with you die hard fans.
Mr. Boreanaz I would never tell. It can be our little secret.

Quote of the Day

Just found this on and I needed to share it because it is so true.

WWJWDW or what would Joss Whedon do?

WWJWDW or hat would Joss Whedon do? Everything I learned about love, life and politics I learned from Joss Whedon. On Buffy I learned about love and to never give up hope. I also learned that sex is bad and your lover will turn out to be a demon, evil vampire or at the very least a total jerk. And if you happen to find the love of your life it most likely will end badly with them dying or leaving town. All this has rang true for myself.

On Angel I learned that if nothing you do matters then everything you do matters.

Angel 5.21
Powerplay- Angel: No, you don't. 10-to-1, we're gone when the smoke clears. They will do everything in their power to destroy us. So...I need you to be sure. Power endures. We can't bring down the senior partners, but for one bright, shining moment, we can show them that they don't own us. You need to decide for yourselves if that's worth dying for. I can't order you to do this. I can't do it without you. So we'll vote. As a team. Think about what I'm asking you to do, think about what I'm asking you to give

On Serenity/Firefly I learned that government should not mettle. There will be more on this later.

So a beloved Utah radio station went down and a new one popped up in its place. 101.9 Gen X radio. I am have never been more ashamed of my generation. I listened out of curiousity mainly because they said it was commercial free which is a lie. They play commercials. They play mainly hits from the 90's. Being nostalgic is fine and dandy but I don't want it all the time. I am older now and not the same person I was back then. Listening to non stop 90's nostalgia just reminds me of who I was, it is ok to visit but I don't want to live there.

Another thing this station reminded me is that pop music has always sucked. I was thinking that todays dance and pop music was so shallow and mindless but after listening to the pop from the 90's I realized it has always been this way. It has always been mindless but I guess that I why I love it, sometimes anyway.

Quote of the Day

You are never given more than you can handle. No! People are given more than they can handle all the time. That's why they jump out of window- Jennifer Allen

I concur completely.
